Streetkids/Capetown 2003

Motivated by my incomprehension for the

ignorance and helplessness with which the issue

of streetkids in Capetown is dealt with, I took

photos of streetkids holding signs I had

written. 

Instead of their own, "innocent" signs I gave

them placards raising the corporate phenomena

of repression, prejudice and bad conscience.

I used the placards of the streetkids as a

projection space for my thoughts about the

relationship of passerby and streetkid.
